| I had the GE/Thompson Skype phone before, and the Linksys skype phone before that. The Linksys was a pain and needed the computer to be on and to be plugged into a USB. It also messed up the audio settings on my laptop. The GE was pretty good until it stopped working after 2 weeks. I have since read nothing but horror stories about the GE breaking down. But the RTX has been fantastic! I travel out of the country a lot and this phone is great. I can call home from anyplace I can get an internet connection and it sounds like they are right next door. Highly recommended! |

I have now used this phone system for 4 months and have been very pleased with the product but more important so has my wife!
I bought 1 phone with base station and 2 extra handsets. Set up was very easy and they have all worked perfectly well and I am buying another set for a friend.
Pro.:
Easy set up and use. My wife is absolutely not into tech. It is something that have to make life easier and work whenever you need it much like a car.She have not had one complain at all!
Both land line and Skype
Con:
The navigation buttons can be a little difficult until you get used to them.
More expensive in the US than in most places in Europe. Skype is selling it in Europe for 140 = approx. 200 US ([...])

| I've been using this phone for over One year now without a hitch. It's easily paid for itself as my wife makes at least 2 international calls a week lasting around an hour each. Other than replacing the rechargeable batteries, it has never gone wrong. Recommended! |
